Key Responsibilities
- Facilitate therapeutic yoga groups using evidence-based practices
- Tailor sessions to support clients with mood disorders, trauma, substance use, and suicidal ideation
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in our Electronic Health Records system
- Collaborate with clinical staff and contribute to treatment planning
- Adhere to Joint Commission and Virginia DSS regulations
- Attend team meetings, trainings, and supervision sessions
- Ensure all therapeutic interventions align with ethical and professional standards
Minimum Requirements
- Certified Yoga Instructor (RYT-200 or higher)
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience working with individuals with acute mental health needs
- Bachelor’s degree in recreational therapy or related field
- Familiarity with co-occurring disorders, insurance documentation, and regulatory compliance
- Previous work in residential or clinical mental health settings
- Must pass background checks (DBHDS, VDSS Registry, and others as required)
- Flexible schedule and reliable transportation between facility locations
- Ability to meet documentation timelines (within 24 hours of session)
