Job Summary
Installs and repairs electrical systems, apparatus, and electrical and electronic components of industrial machinery and equipment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Comply with all AMG Al policies and procedures, safety and environmental requirements, and AMG's Business Code of Conduct
All AC and DC Motors
All AC and DC Controls and Power Systems
All instrumentation currently installed and all future instrumentation associated with the Plant operations.
Periodic inspection of all cranes to determine proper operation.
All induction heating and melting equipment and systems.
All electrical switch gear owned and operated by AMG Aluminum Wenatchee Plant.
All Controls and protective devices associated with combustion systems.
Maintain Indoor and outdoor lighting systems.
Collect and record all necessary data for inventory and organization of electrical parts
Perform maintenance and safety checklists
Assist with repair / spare parts purchase requisitions
Maintain a clean and safe work area
Other duties may be assigned.

Education and/or Experience
High school diploma, GED, or equivalent life experience required.
Trade school, 4 year electrical apprenticeship, or 2 year junior college graduate preferred.
Language Skills
Under guidance of the Maintenance Manager must be able to communicate clearly and effectively with other Departments within AMG. Ability to effectively interpret information and respond to questions from peers and supervisors.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to calculate figures and basic addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division is required. The ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry are preferred.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Computer Skills
To perform this job successfully, an individual should possess proficient computer skills. Microsoft Word Processing software and Microsoft Excel Spreadsheet software skill are preferred.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
Current Driver's License required, Washington State Journeyman's Electrical Card preferred.

Other Skills and Abilities
Must be familiar with and stay up to date with the latest National Electrical code revisions as well as any other applicable codes affecting electrical equipment and installations. Must have familiarity with PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) technology including installation, servicing and troubleshooting. Experience with wiring and control techniques from DC through 2400 VAC. Possess proficiency with common test equipment such as Insulation Testers, Oscilloscopes, Volt-DM Meter, Clamp-On Ammeters, and Temperature meters.
Other Qualifications
Must be able to read and interpret electrical diagrams including but not limited to: single line, ladder control logic, electrical and electronic schematics, electronic logic, for the purpose of troubleshooting and maintaining. Must be able to produce simple and intermediate electrical diagrams of the types listed above to support modifications and changes originating within the Maintenance Department. Should have capability to fabricate and install electrical equipment and circuits requiring hand and power tools common to the electrical construction trade. Resulting work must reflect a positive attitude toward neatness and completeness as well as conformity to applicable specifications and codes
