Position Summary:
We are looking for an addition to our team who can be a key point of contact for internal and external clients.
Education/Experience Requirements:
- Minimum one year experience in payroll and payroll taxes; client interaction preferred
- Associate Degree in accounting preferred
Knowledge and Skill Requirements:
- Proficient in QuickBooks, MS Word, Excel and Outlook
- Enjoys learning and improving systems and processes

Job Responsibilities:
- Prepare payrolls for client small businesses, including new business and employee set up, and monthly/quarterly/annual reporting related to payroll activity
- Prepare tax payments and filings for client payrolls, IRAs and 401k plans (Federal and multiple states)
- Review, track and report on IRA & 401k contributions, distributions and loans
- Coordinate payment processes for qualified plans and IRAs
- Lead the annual Required Minimum Distribution process for qualified plans and IRAs
- Review and approve new IRA accounts and transfer requests
- Ensure timely payment and compliance with federal and state withholding tax rules
- Ensure proper reporting for Federal 945, 1099R, 5498 and other required filings and forms
- Annual Required Minimum Distribution process for qualified plans and IRAs
- Assist in preparing and gathering documentation for annual compliance audits
- Filing, printing and scanning
- Maintain utmost confidentiality and security of client information and payroll records
- Other duties as assigned
