Director, Strategic Program Execution
What you will do

The Contracts and Pricing Execution (CPE) team is responsible for managing the execution of US Commercial Discount payment processes and Government Programs, ensuring compliance and operational excellence in these critical areas. With several transformative projects impacting CPE—including IRA implementation, system upgrades (Model N and SAP), and Gross-to-Net automation transformation initiatives—the need for a strategic leader to provide organizational oversight has never been greater.
The Director, Strategic Program Execution will be a key leader within the CPE team, reporting directly to the CPE Executive Director. This role is tasked with providing strategic and organizational oversight, ensuring alignment across multiple critical projects and initiatives. The Director will focus on delivering impactful results that support strategic priorities and advance organizational objectives. Additionally, this individual will lead the Center of Excellence (CoE) team, which is dedicated to ensuring that CPE business systems operate effectively while driving optimization opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic and Organizational Program Leadership: Provide strategic and organizational oversight across major CPE initiatives, including IRA implementation, system upgrades (Model N and SAP), and Gross-to-Net Transformation efforts.
Leadership Engagement: Ensure leadership remains informed and aligned with the strategic direction of CPE initiatives by serving as a key advisor. This role will involve delivering clear updates, actionable insights, and strategic recommendations on program progress, priorities, risks, and opportunities.
Cross-Functional Alignment: Collaborate with teams across Finance, Policy, Contracts and Pricing, USV&A Insights, Audit, Legal, and Third Parties to ensure strategic alignment, effective communication, and resource allocation. Build strong relationships with stakeholders to address challenges, resolve dependencies, and maintain progress across all initiatives.
Prioritization and Resource Management: Drive prioritization efforts across CPE to focus on initiatives with the highest organizational impact and alignment with prioritized goals. Address resource gaps and secure external support or third-party approvals as needed, ensuring resources are effectively allocated to achieve key objectives.
Compliance Oversight: Partner with the Internal Compliance Senior Manager, internal teams, and Internal Audit to ensure compliance requirements are effectively addressed across all CPE programs and initiatives. Support efforts to mitigate risks and align activities with organizational and regulatory standards.
Leadership of CoE Team: Lead the Center of Excellence (CoE) team to ensure business systems critical to CPE operations are functioning effectively. Identify and implement optimization opportunities to enhance operational performance.
Operational Efficiency and Optimization: Drive efforts to enhance operational efficiencies and support the seamless adoption of optimizations of processes or technologies. Collaborate with cross-functional teams and provide oversight of optimization projects, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and delivering impactful results.

Basic Qualifications:
Doctorate degree and 4 years of strategic program leadership, contracts, pricing, finance, or analytics experience
Or
Master’s degree and 8 years of strategic program leadership, contracts, pricing, finance, or analytics experience
Or
Bachelor’s degree and 10 years of strategic program leadership, contracts, pricing, finance, or analytics experience
In addition to meeting at least one of the above requirements, you must have at least 4 years experience directly managing people and/or leadership experience leading teams, projects, programs, or directing the allocation or resources. Your managerial experience may run concurrently with the required technical experience referenced above
Preferred Qualifications:
Strong experience in a pharmaceutical or biotech environment, particularly in contract operations, pricing, or value and access functions.
Demonstrated success in leading large-scale, cross-functional programs in a matrixed organization.
Expertise in managing initiatives related to system upgrades or business transformations.
Experience leading teams focused on business system performance and operational optimization.
Strong financial acumen with experience in planning, budgeting, accounting and resource allocation.
Exceptional executive presence with the ability to influence senior leaders and drive alignment.
Proven ability to balance competing priorities and manage multiple high-impact initiatives simultaneously.
Familiarity with process improvement methodologies and tools, as well as change management strategies to ensure successful implementation of new systems or processes.

The expected annual salary range for this role in the U.S. (excluding Puerto Rico) is posted. Actual salary will vary based on several factors including but not limited to, relevant skills, experience, and qualifications.
