Senior Medical Scientist, Global Medical Affairs, Cardiovascular
What you will do
Lets do this. Lets change the world. In this vital role you will drive the development and execution of product Medical strategies to improve Amgen's value proposition in alignment with product strategies across relevant geographies.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement global and regional medical affairs strategies aligned with corporate objectives.
- Serve as the medical affairs representative on cross-functional strategic teams.
- Provide strategic input into evidence generation plans, including clinical trials and real-world studies.
- Translate clinical and scientific insights into actionable strategies to address unmet medical needs.
- Align medical communication strategies with broader organizational goals, including publications, medical education, and field team activities.
- Contribute to product lifecycle management, including launch readiness and post-market activities.
- Lead or support the design, execution, and oversight of Phase 3b / 4 studies, investigator-initiated trials, and real-world evidence (RWE) projects.
- Ensure high-quality dissemination of clinical and scientific data through publications, presentations, and other channels.
- Provide input into regulatory submissions, value dossiers, and health economics outcomes research (HEOR) initiatives.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure alignment of evidence generation with market access needs.
- Build and maintain relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs), healthcare professionals (HCPs), patient advocacy groups, and professional societies.
- Facilitate advisory boards, symposia, and other scientific engagements to gather insights and share medical knowledge.
- Act as a medical spokesperson for the companys therapeutic area(s) or product portfolio.
- Partner with clinical development, regulatory affairs, commercial teams, market access groups, and other collaborators to ensure alignment of medical strategies.
- Provide scientific input into marketing materials, promotional campaigns, and training programs while ensuring compliance with regulations.
- Support product launches by integrating scientific insights into commercial strategies.
- Ensure all medical activities align with applicable laws, regulations, industry standards, and company policies.
- Coordinate proper documentation of medical affairs activities using global tracking systems to ensure accountability.
- Foster an environment of ethical conduct and integrity within the organization.

Basic Qualifications :
Doctorate degree and 2 years of clinical research and / or medical affairs experience
Masters degree and 4 years of clinical research and / or medical affairs experience
Bachelors degree and 6 years of clinical research and / or medical affairs experience
Associates degree and 10 years of clinical research and / or medical affairs experience
High school diploma / GED and 12 years of clinical research and / or medical affairs experience

The expected annual salary range for this role in the U.S. (excluding Puerto Rico) is posted. Actual salary will vary based on several factors including but not limited to, relevant skills, experience, and qualifications.
