Strategic Planning & Operations Manager
What you will do
Lets do this. Lets change the world. In this vital role you will be a member of the Engineering Strategic Planning & Operations (SPO) team. SPO is a selection of business, advisory, and risk experts who elevate Engineerings impact and performance by using a broad set of skills - both strategic and technical - to guide leadership, implement priority efforts, manage risk posture, and advance the organizations culture, communication, and careers. We operate as the internal management consulting arm of Global Engineering to enable strategic objectives and deliver business results. Engineering plans, designs, operates and maintains Amgen's global infrastructure through managing ~$2B in capital projects annually. Additionally, we own Environmental Health and Safety as well as Amgen's Sustainability program which strives to be carbon neutral by 2027. The SPO team handles the Strategies, Financials, Business Performance, OE, Risk, Compliance, Transformation and Career Development for the department which consists of the following functions :
- Engineering Technical Authority
- Global Capital Project Management
- Project Controls and Strategy
- Engineering Operations and Services
- Environmental Health, Safety, Sustainability
- Strategic Planning & Operations

The expected annual salary range for this role in the U.S. (excluding Puerto Rico) is posted. Actual salary will vary based on several factors including but not limited to, relevant skills, experience, and qualifications.
