About Us:
AMH Design is a dynamic and growing team of technical and creative professionals who are passionate about design. We are looking to add an FF&E Procurement Specialist and Interior Design Assistant to our in-house team. This role is crucial for managing the day-to-day operations of our procurement division and providing support for various interior design tasks.
Responsibilities
FF&E Procurement Specialist Tasks:
· Organize and update vendor accounts and information regularly.
· Maintain strong vendor relationships and liaise with product representatives to acquire samples and new materials.
· Keep the project library organized with updated fabrics, furniture finishes, and other FF&E items.
· Travel for design meetings, FF&E installations, and interior design presentations as needed.
· Prepare and manage FF&E budgets and schedules.
· Maintain an updated, detailed schedule with tracking information, vendor details, and pricing.
· Manage the Fohlio procurement management system, including project setup and ongoing management.
· Coordinate the buyout of FF&E items.
· Write and review purchase orders to ensure all items are included.
· Track and coordinate items with the warehouse.
· Assist in the RFQ process and pre-purchase order stages.
· Assist in the production and tracking of purchase orders.
· Coordinate with storage facilities and installers.
· Travel to job sites to check off inventory.
· Coordinate installation week with clients and vendors.
· Prepare final closeout items and create a closeout booklet with all specifications for the client.
Interior Design Assistant Tasks:
· Assist with FF&E selections and ensure floor plans match what is in Fohlio.
· Coordinate with interior designers and business managers.
· Contribute to the design and development of various interior design concepts.
· Select and design FF&E materials and decorative items.
· Provide selection and design for draperies, custom rugs, and various decorative elements.
· Assist in selecting and specifying interior finishes and elements.
· Create furniture layouts and selections for each project.
· Review shop drawings for custom furniture pieces.
· Generate and present concepts, image boards, and presentation boards.
· Organize materials library and project shelves to keep office up to date.
Qualifications
Technical Knowledge:
· Understanding of interior design principles and their application across different project types.
· Knowledge of furniture products, materials, and installation practices.
· Ability to define FF&E requirements and develop appropriate solutions.
· Ability to prepare accurate cost estimates.
· Knowledge of procurement options, procedures, and sourcing.
· Ability to write FF&E product and installation specifications.
· Strong organizational skills.
Office Technology:
· Proficient with office equipment and relevant technology (software and systems listed below).
Communication:
· Excellent written and oral communication skills.
· Ability to convey detailed and technical information clearly to various audiences.
Preferred Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree or higher in Interior Design.
· Experience in procurement, ordering furniture, quoting, and installations.
· Ability to assist the design team in design and production for various project types.
· Strong organizational, communication, and relationship management skills.
· Ability to maintain good relationships with manufacturers, reps, vendors, and internal team members.
Technology/Software Qualifications:
· Proficiency in Revit, InDesign, Canva, and Photoshop preferred.
· Knowledge of Bluebeam and Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams).
· Familiarity with Fohlio (procurement management system) is a plus but not required.
Physical & Sensory Qualifications:
· Repetitive motion using a keyboard and computer mouse for extended periods (up to 8 hours per shift).
· Frequently required to sit, walk, stand, and reach with hands and arms.
· Occasionally required to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, and lift/move up to 25 pounds.
· Ability to sit and stand for prolonged periods.
· Physical dexterity and ability to navigate office areas and construction sites.
Travel:
· Available to travel within the USA.
· Travel to clients' offices, conferences, and job sites as needed.

· Reports to: Principal Interior Designer – Abbi Hepworth
