What you’ll do:
As a Purchasing Technician, you will:
- Preform difficult skilled administrative support work involving the procurement of supplies, materials and equipment
- Assist in maintaining inventories and records
- Provide administrative support to the Procurement and Contracts Division Manager
- Support other duties as assigned within the department
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Moderate experience in the procurement of supplies, materials and equipment
- Experience with procurement related recordkeeping
- Valid driver’s license in the Commonwealth of Virginia
- The ability to obtain a professional public purchaser certification within a time frame set by the department
- Hiring range starts at $40,416:, salary negotiable based on qualifications and experience
