What are the responsibilities and job description for the Substitute Teacher (Non- Certified) position at Amherst Schools?
PER-DIEM SUBSTITUTES (NON-CERTIFIED)

Non-certified applicants for teaching substitute positions should have at minimum:
- Bachelors degree
- Classroom teaching experience preferred
- Will only be allowed to work for 90 days/year per NYS Education Law through the COVID-19 pandemic; otherwise, 40 days/year.
- All positions must be fingerprinted through the NYS Department of Education before employment processing (see attached)
Salary for non-certified substitutes: $120/day
NOTE: The district withholds the right to change substitute placements in the event of an emergency.
