Teaching Assistant - Elementary (Part-Time Position)-WBS

TEACHING ASSISTANT-ELEMENTARY (PART - TIME POSITION)

LOCATION: WINDERMERE BOULEVARD SCHOOL

HOURS: 19 hours/week

SALARY: $18.50/hour, plus payment for additional credit hours, if applicable

START DATE: As soon as possible

DESCRIPTION:

Assist with providing reading interventions to students under the direction of Reading AIS providers. Support small group and one-on-one reading instruction, implement teacher-designed intervention plans, monitor student progress, and assist with maintaining accurate documentation of student performance.

Please note: This is a daily part-time position (19 Hours / Week) in the mornings.

• TEACHING ASSISTANTS MUST HAVE TEACHING ASSISTANT CERTIFICATION OR NYS TEACHER CERTIFICATION OR WORKING TOWARDS EITHER OF THESE CERTIFICATIONS.
• Experience working with elementary students preferred (K-5)
• Must be fingerprinted through the NYS Department of Education (required for new employees) - fingerprint procedure attached
