Daily Expectations for Your Role
- Prepare and stage autonomous vehicles for scheduled test operations and service missions.
- Ensure all vehicles, equipment, and workspaces are clean, safe, and properly configured.
- Execute mission prep procedures, including launching software across multiple devices, verifying system readiness, and deploying necessary updates.
- Perform basic charging and equipment setup for electric vehicles and support hardware.
- Support the logistics and transport of spare parts and help maintain accurate inventory.
- Document vehicle readiness, system updates, and any operational blockers.
- Respond as part of the Incident Response Team during recovery or issue scenarios.
- Provide occasional hands-on technical support (fluid changes, wiring checks, part swaps).
- Assist with general test site support, including cones, obstacles, and traffic control.
What It Takes
Minimum Requirements
- 2 years of work experience in a technical, operational, or fleet-related environment
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Ability to travel locally and occasionally nationally (under 30%)
- Strong multitasking and problem-solving abilities
- Comfort with physical tasks: ability to lift up to 50 lbs, use carts/dollies, and navigate stairs
- Clear written and verbal communication skills
- Team-oriented mindset with a “get it done” attitude and urgency
- Technical trade school certificate or Associate Degree in Automotive Repair
- Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, or similar tools
- Proficiency in MS Office or Google Workspace
- Experience working in fast-paced or high-pressure environments
