What are the responsibilities and job description for the Asphalt Distributor Operator position at AMI Construction, Inc.?
AMI is currently looking for an Asphalt Distributor Operator to join our team! This person will be working with our paving crews on various projects, and be responsible for driving our Distributor/Tack Truck. The role is best suited for a team player with a strong work ethic and positive demeanor.
Job Responsibilities:
- Safely operate the Distributor/Tack Truck in front of the paving operation to spray tack and prepare the surface for paving.
- Perform regular maintenance of truck and materials attached - such as cleaning and upkeep to ensure optimal performance.
- Follow all safety rules and regulations, abiding by all traffic laws, company procedures, and DOT regulations.
- Perform pre and post trip Driver-Vehicle Inspection Reports (DVIRs).
- Assist the paving crews when not distributing - such as operating other heavy machinery (Asphalt Paver, Roller, Skid Steer, etc.)
- Assist in other CDL functions if necessary - driving a dump truck, etc.
- Perform other duties assigned.
Skills Needed:
- Must have a valid Class A CDL with a Tanker and Hazmat endorsement.
- Minimum 2-3 years of CDL driving experience required.
- Experience driving a Tack Truck is highly preferred.
- Ability to work weekends.

Pay: $27.00 - $32.00 per hour
