What are the responsibilities and job description for the Traffic Control position at AMI Construction, Inc.?
Traffic Control is responsible for assisting in coordinating, setting up, managing, and removing traffic control operations on job sites. The role is best suited for a team player who is action-oriented and can work with a firm yet considerate disposition.
Job Responsibilities:
- Prep job sites by employing traffic control devices - traffic cones, barricades, signs, and etc.
- Ensuring safety of all personnel on the job site by maintaining a work safety zone from start to finish.
- Abide by all laws and regulations - traffic laws, company procedures, DOT regulations, etc.
- Implement and report traffic control plans to proper authorities.
- Report as well as prevent any accidents, hazards, or violations.
- Keep check of inventory of all traffic devices.
- Work with the management team to stay updated on job knowledge and be informed of any changes.
- Maintain a high level of professionalism with clients and work to establish a positive rapport with every contact.
- Willing to crosstrain and help out on other crews when needed: paving, milling, sealcoat & stripe, base & stone, concrete, etc.
- Perform other duties assigned.
Skills Needed:
- Must hold up-to-date Flagger Certification.
- Strong analytical ability, quantitative and problem-solving skills, and excellent communication/interpersonal skills.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $19.00 - $23.00 per hour
