About the Project/Clinic
The Clinical Educator will be part of the RISE 2.0 AMI team recognizing the crucial need to support enhancing long-term care facility resiliency and self-reliance with the purpose of preventing and effectively responding to COVID-19 and other infectious disease outbreaks. Therefore, as part of LTC RISE, awardees will also be providing quality improvement project opportunities to interested skilled nursing facilities, intermediate care facilities, personal care homes, and assisted living facilities in the following areas:
1. Long-term Care Facility workforce resiliency
2. Infection prevention and control and emergency preparedness
3. Sustainable outbreak response operation.
Job Summary:
The Clinical Educator will be part of the Quality Improvement Team (QIT) and the Emergency Response Team (ERT). The Clinical Educator will receive direction on site from Senior Clinical Educator and be directly supervised by the Team Lead.
Must be local to the PA region to which you are assigned.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Adhere to LTCF processes and procedures
- Provide recommendations for improvement
- Implement best practices through training and education within each LTCF
- Travel to LTCFs within assigned region
The job duties are flexible and subject to change depending upon operational needs
Skills/Abilities:
- Must be able to multi-task, be detail-oriented, be organized and have excellent verbal and
communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work on a team.
- Excellent communication and time management skills.
- Must be able to successfully complete the AMI Credentialing Process.
- Proficiency in technology including Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, Teams,
and Office.
- Must be able to stand or sit for long periods of time
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a variety of stakeholders including
long term care facilities, community members, and AMI clinicians, program managers
Education & Experience:
- Minimum 2 years healthcare experience
- Experience providing health education and training
- Minimum High school, GED, or equivalent diploma
- Active and unrestricted Pennsylvania license/certification. Minimum CMA, CNA, EMT or
LPN or higher
Required
- Covid-19 care experience
- Infection control experience
- Active BLS certification
Additional Requirements:
- Written and spoken fluency in English
- Active and unrestricted driver’s license.
- Must be willing to drive with others to site visits.
- Must be willing to work at the office location.
- Must be willing to work outside of normal working hours.
- Full COVID-19 vaccination is an essential requirement of this role
