About the Project/Clinic:

AMI will provide comprehensive medical care and support to individuals in a migrant processing center, ensuring the delivery of quality healthcare in a secure and controlled environment.

Job Summary:

An HR Liaison is a crucial link between employees and the Human Resources department. The primary role of the HR Liaison is to ensure that employees' needs are met efficiently and effectively, fostering a positive and productive work environment. This role requires excellent communication skills, a thorough understanding of HR policies and procedures, and the ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Act as the first point of contact for employees regarding HR-related queries and concerns.

  • Facilitate communication between employees and the HR department to address and resolve issues.

  • Mediate disputes and conflicts between employees, aiming to find amicable resolutions.

  • Ensure that HR policies and procedures are clearly communicated and adhered to by all employees.

  • Assist in the development and implementation of new HR policies and initiatives.

  • Assist in the onboarding process for new employees, ensuring a smooth transition into the organization.

  • Conduct new employee orientations and provide necessary training on company policies and procedures.

  • Monitor and track employee performance, providing feedback and support where necessary.

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with data protection regulations.

  • Ensure compliance with all employment laws and regulations, including health and safety standards.

  • Assist in the preparation and submission of HR reports and documentation as required.

  • The job duties are flexible and subject to change depending upon operational needs

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Must be able to multi-task, be detail-oriented, be organized and have excellent verbal and communication skills.

  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work on a team.

  • Excellent communication and time management skills.

  • Must be able to successfully complete the AMI Credentialing Process.

  • Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution abilities.

  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain confidentiality.

  • Knowledge of HR policies, procedures, and employment laws.

  • Proficiency in HR software and Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Empathetic and approachable demeanor.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • High level of integrity and professionalism.

  • Adaptability and willingness to learn.

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field

  • At least 3-5 years of experience in an HR role, with a focus on employee relations preferred

  • Experience in recruitment, onboarding, and orientation processes is highly desirable

Additional Requirements:

  • Must be able to work in a safe manner following all safety rules and regulations. Must work as a team member to improve safety culture and quality.

  • Read and follow instructions. Demonstrate safe work behavior.

  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds.

  • Must be able to stand or sit for long periods of time.

  • Must be able to push, pull, reach, and bend frequently.

  • Written and spoken fluency in English?(and Spanish highly preferred)
