Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Paramedic to join our facility-based healthcare team. The paramedic will provide high-quality emergency and non-emergency medical care to individuals in a secure environment. Their primary focus will be assessing, stabilizing, and treating patients -- ensuring the efficient flow of care in a fast-paced environment.
Duties/Responsibilities:

Respond promptly to medical emergencies, assessing and stabilizing patients in critical situations.

Provide advanced life support (ALS), including airway management, intubation, defibrillation, and IV therapy.

Administer medications, fluids, and other treatments as prescribed by protocols or under physician direction.

Perform initial patient assessments, identifying life-threatening conditions and initiating appropriate interventions.

Monitor and interpret vital signs, ECGs, and other diagnostic data.

Conduct routine health assessments and assist in managing chronic medical conditions.

Provide wound care, infection management, and other non-emergency treatments.

Assist with health education and preventive care initiatives.

Work closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care.

Communicate effectively with patients to gather medical histories and explain procedures.

Act as a liaison between patients, medical staff, and administrative teams.

Maintain accurate and thorough patient records, including treatment plans, progress notes, and medication administration logs.

Document incidents and medical interventions in compliance with legal and organizational requirements.

Inspect, clean, and maintain medical equipment to ensure functionality and readiness.

Restock medical supplies and report shortages or damaged equipment.

Adhere to all safety protocols and operational procedures within the work environment.

Ensure proper handling of biohazard materials and follow infection control standards.

Education & Experience:

Current and valid Paramedic certification/license.

Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications required.

Strong knowledge of emergency medical procedures and equipment.

Ability to remain calm and make critical decisions in high-pressure situations.
