What are the responsibilities and job description for the Accountant position at AMI INDUSTRIES,INC?
Primary Purpose of the Job: Prepares income and balance sheets, consolidated statements and other accounting statements, reports, analyses, operating budgets. Assist in the implementation of control systems. Title may specify specialty.
Specific Duties:
- Gathers and correlates basic accounting, cash, budget and other financial information using established procedures.
- Applies fundamental concepts in the application of any judgments to relatively routine matters.
- Provides accounting for the assigned organizational entity or facility, verifying the accuracy of journal entries, budget and accounting classifications and charges to assigned accounts.
- Conducts special studies and develops financial reporting for the facility.
- Performs such individual assignments as supervisors and superiors may direct; ensures adequate and continuous controls are exercised over all assigned activities affecting quality; establishes and maintains effective work relationships within the department, the Corporation and the community; and maintains the professional competence, knowledge and skill necessary for the satisfactory performance of all assigned responsibilities.
- Must carry out duties per IATF16949 and ISO 14001 requirements.
Experience:
Have 2 or more years’ experience in related field.
Essential Functions:
- Regular and predictable attendance.

- Applies fundamental concepts in the application of judgment to relatively routine matters.
- Provides the facilities accounting, verifying the accuracy of journal entries, budget and accounting classifications and charges to assigned accounts.
- Conducts special studies and develops financial reports for the facility.
Critical Physical Demands and Working Conditions:
- Occasionally lifts and carries up to 15 pounds.
- Works at telephone answering equipment and at a PC for hours at a time.
- Works within an automotive components manufacturing office setting and is occasionally exposed to heat, cold, wet and fumes/chemicals.
- May travel to plant and customer sites.
Salary is based on experience.
