What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lead Maintenance Tech #3 position at AMI INDUSTRIES,INC?
Primary Purpose of the Job: Oversees, Manages, and Directs all Maintenance and Tool Room Personnel. Repairs and maintains various aspects and components of the facilities, equipment, and machinery. May be assigned a more skill specific title if it is appropriate to identify a specialty (examples include electrician, plumber, painter, millwright.)
Specific Duties:
- Examines equipment, machinery, building components and associated mechanical and electrical/electronic components to determine condition and need for work and determines need for replacement parts or repairs.
- Produces finished work using a variety of machine tools and fixtures.
- Performs all work with adherence to safety and standard operating procedures.
- Orders replacement parts and equipment within prescribed dollar limits, as necessary.
- Works from specifications, drawings, manuals, sketches and verbal instructions.
- Performs such individual assignments as supervisors and superiors may direct; ensures adequate and continuous controls are exercised over all assigned activities affecting quality; establishes and maintains the professional competence, knowledge and skill necessary for the satisfactory performance of all assigned responsibilities.
- Must carry out duties per IATF 16949 and ISO 14001 requirements.
Required Training, Knowledge and Experience:
- Above average electromechanical abilities, language and math skills typically evidenced by an HS diploma and vocational training.
Essential Functions:
- Regular and predictable attendance.
- Produces finished work using a variety of machine tools and fixtures.
- Performs all work with adherence to safety and standard operating procedures.
- Orders replacement parts and equipment within prescribed dollar limits, as necessary.
Critical Physical Demands and Working Conditions:
- Occasionally lifts up to 70 pounds and frequently carries up to 40 pounds.
- Maneuvers in, around, under, and about factory and/or laboratory equipment and machinery on a regular and continuous basis.
- Majority of work time is spent standing, walking, lifting, and bending.
- Works at telephone answering equipment and at a PC.
- Climbs ladders and stairs regularly.
- Works within an automotive components manufacturing, office, and laboratory setting and is exposed to heat, cold, wet, and fumes/chemicals.
- May be required to travel plant and/or customer sites.
Salary based on experience.
