POSITION SUMMARY: prepares customer orders for shipping and receiving.
- Builds skids or boxes for packing and shipping of all orders.
- Uses crosscut saw, miter saw, nail gun, staple gun and banding equipment as needed.
- Must be able to drive forklift and side loader.
- Follows AMI packing and preservation policies and procedures.
- Performs quality inspections on orders to maintain 100% quality standards.
- Marks all shipments in accordance with customer and AMI procedures and requirements.
- Properly stencils shipping information as required.
- Provides maintenance and keeps records of Maintenance on all equipment assigned.
- Maintains clean work area.
- Follows all company safety and quality policies and procedures.
- Participates in TQM and SPC meetings.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one month related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Shipping and Receiving experience a strong plus!
- The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- Ability to work irregular hours
