Academia Medical Institute is seeking applicants for a full-time Practical Nursing Program Administrator. The Program Administrator reports to the Campus President and is the front-line administrator within the program area responsible for the planning, implementation, coordination, supervision, and evaluation of all instruction and related program management activities.
The Program Administrator has responsibilities and duties that include but are not limited to the following:
· Develop and execute a strategic plan for the Practical Nursing program in alignment with the institution's mission and goals.
· Promote excellence, growth, and sustainability of all academic programs within the school.
· Maintain effective communications throughout the program by a system of regular meetings, written communications, utilization of committees, conferences, and other group management strategies.
· Plan, execute, and evaluate annual goals, objectives, and related activities, based on the needs of the program, unit, and school for improved performance.
· Oversee curriculum development, assessment, and improvement processes.
· Ensure the program and curriculum offerings are in full compliance with the requirements for accreditation, certification, and other standards stipulated by appropriate external agencies, including, but not limited to, ABHES and the Ohio Board of Nursing.
· Lead the recruitment, retention, and development of diverse and qualified faculty.
· Assign, supervise, and evaluate full- and/or part-time program faculty.
· Supervise and evaluate the operation of all classes being conducted within the assigned function of the program.
· Ensure instructional resources are being utilized efficiently and effectively and that the program’s mission is being met.
· Advocate for and support student recruitment, retention, and success initiatives.
· Promote a culture of academic excellence, research, and clinical practice among students.
· Certify to the OBN in a format prescribed by the board for each student who is an applicant for licensure in Ohio that each applicant completed the requirements of a program and the date the applicant completed the program requirements.
· Strengthen partnerships with healthcare institutions, community organizations, and other external stakeholders.
· Collaborate with alumni to enhance support for the school’s initiatives.
· Teach assigned class(es) as determined by the needs of the program.
· Assume other responsibilities and tasks as assigned.
The ideal candidate will possess the following required minimum qualifications:
· Current unrestricted licensure as a registered nurse in the State of Ohio.
· Must have baccalaureate and master’s degrees in nursing.
· Must have a minimum of five (5) years full-time experience teaching in undergraduate nursing program(s) with recent managerial experience preferred.
· Curriculum development and project management experience desired.
· Possess comprehensive knowledge of Nursing theories, concepts and practices with the ability to use in complex, difficult and/or unprecedented situations as it pertains to the departmental focus
· Ability to effectively complete work assignments independently
· Excellent organizational and prioritization skills with demonstrated attention to detail
· Ability to be creative and exercise initiative
· Possess excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
· Possess strong organizational and time-management skills
· Ability to adjust to changing priorities and respond appropriately to deadlines
· Proven leadership skills and the ability to promote collaboration, foster a team environment and involve all stakeholders in decision-making processes
· Demonstrated basic Project Management skills
· Demonstrated Intermediate-level proficiency with Microsoft: Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
· Ability to confidentially and discreetly handle subject matters requiring privacy and sensitivity
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $110,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
