Procurement Specialist

Job Summary : We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Procurement Specialist to join our manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will have over 5 years of experience with SAP, strong buying experience, and a proven track record in planning and scheduling. This role requires a proactive individual who can ensure that parts and tooling are always on hand, contribute to production meetings, and communicate effectively with all parties involved.
Key Responsibilities :
- Manage procurement activities to ensure timely and cost-effective acquisition of materials and tooling.
- Collaborate closely with the Director of Operations to align procurement strategies with production needs.
- Assist in planning and scheduling to maintain optimal inventory levels and safety stock.
- Implement and monitor inventory control measures to prevent shortages and excesses.
- Participate actively in production meetings, providing valuable input and feedback.
- Communicate procurement status and updates clearly to all relevant stakeholders.
- Work effectively with employees at all levels within the organization.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors.
- Manage daily shipments and ensure backup plans are in place to address any disruptions.
- Anticipate future needs and plan accordingly to support continuous production.
- Multi-task and thrive in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating strong problem-solving skills.
