Individuals in our Residential Programs are adults at least 21 years of age, who are visually impaired or blind.
Position Summary:
We are seeking a second Director of Program Services to join our team! Coordinating the management and monitoring of services to individuals who are intellectually/developmentally disabled and visually impaired for group homes located in Ocean and Monmouth counties.
Responsibilities:
- Oversees and directs the program services component of the Agency and responsibilities of personnel
- Ensure qualify and professionalism of Agency programs are maintained
- Solicit referrals, process referrals and maintain maximum capacity at all service locations
- Respond to crisis in assigned programs as needed and participate in twenty four hour emergency on call system; maintain accessibility/availability in the event of an emergency.
- Intervene where appropriate in emergencies as trained and instructed. Demonstrate sound judgement in decisions regarding participants and overall program operations
- Participate in Agency Unusual Incident Report Committee
- Oversee and adhere to each program budgetary guidelines
- Act as agency spokesperson at information fairs and in general public forums.
- Monday - Friday 9am-5pm, On-call
Requirements include:
- College Degree in Human Services field
- 5 years in supervisory capacity
- Experience working with individuals with I/DD
- Valid Driver License in NJ (no more than 5 points)
- Satisfactory Background/Pre-employment drug screening
