Job Description:
- Thigh Debone
- Remove the bone from the thigh using a wizard knife.
- Scale Operator
- Operate a scale, make weight, and depending on location place a product label on the box that has just been weighed.
- CVP Machine Operator
- Operate a CVP machine to seal the plastic bag containing the product.
- iCE or C02 Layer
- Cover the product with the correct amount of CO2 or ice.
- Stack Off
- Palletize finished product by stacking product in the correct configuration on a pallet.
- Box Liner
- Lining boxes with bags.
- Tray Pack
- Pack trays of chicken to company and customer standards.
In addition to these tasks, team members may be required to perform additional cutting or trimming. During this process, they will need to use either scissors or knives while maintaining constant focus and concentration to ensure tasks are performed in a way that promotes food safety and quality.
Environment:
- Employees work alongside an automated line with either a mechanical conveyor or shackles.
- Increased noise levels due to machinery.
- Varying range of temperatures.
- Damp and wet environment.
Requirements:
- Requires good personal hygiene and adherence to local, state, and federal health codes and standards.
- Ability to stand for long periods of time.
- Constant focus and concentration required to ensure a quality product is produced as well as to ensure safety is maintained from potentially hazardous conditions.
