Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Poultry Care Specialist to join our team at Amick Farms. As a key member of our poultry care team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the health and safety of our poultry.
- Administer vaccines to 18-day-old embryos to protect against disease
- Maintain upkeep of medical devices, including air hoses and high-pressure water hoses
- Remove infertile eggs for examination and dispose of gross hatch debris
- Clean and inspect surfaces and machinery to ensure food safety and quality
Requirements:
- Good personal hygiene and adherence to health codes and standards
- Ability to stand for long periods in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to lift and push 50 lbs.
- Constant focus and concentration required for quality product production and safety maintenance
Department Objective:
- To safely administer vaccines to protect poultry from disease and maintain flock health
Work Environment:
- A warm and humid environment with potentially loud machinery operation
