Job Summary:

As a Barista, you will be responsible for crafting a variety of coffee and tea beverages, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring a welcoming environment for our customers. You will play an essential role in making each customer’s experience memorable.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and serve a wide variety of coffee and tea beverages, customizing them according to customer preferences.
• Operate the cash register and handle cash transactions accurately while providing excellent customer service.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café, including workstations, equipment, and dining areas.
• Assist with food preparation, ensuring adherence to food safety standards.
• Engage with customers, providing menu recommendations and answering questions.
• Monitor inventory levels of supplies (coffee beans, syrups, etc.) and communicate needs to management.
• Follow health and safety regulations related to food handling and preparation.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient service during peak hours.

Requirements:

• Previous experience in a café or retail environment is preferred but not required.
• Strong knowledge of coffee and tea preparation is a plus.
• Proficiency with POS systems; experience with Aloha POS is a bonus.
• Basic math skills for cash handling and transactions.
• Excellent communication skills with a friendly, customer-focused demeanor.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Must be able to stand for long periods as required.

Schedule:

Shifts available between 9:00 AM – 8:00 PM
(Flexible hours)

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour

Expected hours: 12 – 40 per week
