Research Associate
Amide is seeking an exceptional individual to join our growing team as a Research Associate/Technician. The successful candidate will be a key contributor to various research projects and be responsible for executing laboratory experiments, analyzing and reporting results, and working within a larger team on a regular basis. Applicants should be team players able to excel in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Responsibilities
- Operate FPLC and LCMS instrumentation to purify/analyze peptides and proteins
- Form disulfide bonds and refold proteins received from Purification team
- Troubleshoot challenging technical, experimental, and instrumental issues
- Meticulously record, analyze, and organize data
- Prepare and maintain laboratory reagents and instruments
- Regularly discuss progress of work
Requirements
- BS or MS degree or equivalent experience in biology, biochemistry, or related field
- May have experience working with proteins, including purification, refolding, or characterization assays
- May have experience in FPLC, LCMS, UV-VIS, SDS-PAGE
- May have experience using AKTA instrumentation and familiarity with Unicorn software
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Enthusiasm, independence, and a willingness to learn in a fast-paced, team environment
- Committed to working collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team
The position is full time and the Research Associate will be based at the company’s headquarters in Waltham, Massachusetts, USA. Flexibility with regard to working hours is required. The Research Associate will report to the Senior Scientist - Peptide Chemistry.
