What are the responsibilities and job description for the Associate Designer - Handbags position at Amiee Lynn Inc.?
The ideal candidate is a creative team player will be able to think strategically across different media platforms and own the creation process from inception to production. You must be able to work both independently and collaboratively. This role is based out of our NY office working in the office 3 days a week and 2 days remotely.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Support trend research for seasonal decks and special projects keeping imagery files updated with trackable references
- Translate trends into concepts that respond to business needs (e.g., price points, geographic considerations) for the relevant product category
- Help generate presentations, ideas and concept boards for sales teams with regular search updates, and information on emerging brands and influencers.
- Support and maintain color, sketches details trim and material library by brand .
- Produce sketches, color ups, art ideas for each style required.
- Work independently to develop new areas or opportunities and create aesthetic strategies to support concepts.
- Provide mockups for projects that need a higher level of communication.
- Create tech packs and manage the technical aspect of the design
- Manage color and trim approvals, communicate with team and suppliers on critical dates.
- Create CADs for any design projects.
- Develop SKU-level designs from conception through revisions to sample approval. Present to Design Director for review and approval
REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS:
- 2-3 yrs experience in leather goods accessories design
- Applicant must have strong technical knowledge of production techniques and experience with suppliers.
- Proven verbal and written communication skills.
- Clear presentation skills with ability to build concepts, with CADS concept boards, mock ups.
- Superb time management skills.
- Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects and strict deadlines.
- Proficient in relevant computer programs, essential use of Adobe Illustrator & Photoshop
- Relevant Bachelor's degrees in design or fashion design education
Salary : $70,000 - $75,000
