We are searching for a results-driven Territory Manager in the Dayton, OH area to grow sales of material handling equipment to the industrial market in the Midwest region of the United States. As a territory manager, you would identify and develop relationships with key dealers to promote our products, provide leads, and schedule demos with end-user companies. The ideal candidate should excel in relationship building, effectively demonstrating products, and closing sales.
Territory for this position: Michigan, Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, Kentucky, and West Virginia
Job responsibilities:
- Develop relationships with manufacturer’s reps and dealers in the Midwest region of the United States to promote and sell material handling equipment to end-customers in the industrial market
- Use company vehicle to move equipment and provide on-site product demos across sales territory
- Active use of CRM to log activities and ensure timely follow-ups on all opportunities
- Maintain knowledge of product lines and business processes
- Attend tradeshows and keep up to date on industry publications and news
- Estimated overnight travel up to 50%
Knowledge and Skills Preferred
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
- 3-5 years of sales experience
- Experience in material handling or fork truck sales is a plus
- Highly self-motivated and self-disciplined with ability to work effectively with little or no supervision
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient with computer, customer relationship management tools, and Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to lift 75 lbs
- Clean driving record
