POSITION SUMMARY
The Clerk assists the program by providing routine administrative support to the program. The Clerk works under the direct supervision of the Business Manager. The Clerk’s primary responsibility consists of routine filing, data entry and day-to-day clerical duties. Other duties include maintaining confidential records, operating a variety of office equipment and preparing and distributing routine correspondence.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Performs routine administrative support tasks such as receiving, sorting and distributing mail.
- Performs routine filing of institute records.
- Makes photocopies, sorts and collates office materials, sends facsimiles and operates a variety of office machines.
- Prepares routine correspondence, memos and office documents as needed.
- Prepares, issues, and mails invoices, statements, and related office documents.
- Provides main office support to include answering and forwarding telephone calls, taking messages and greeting and directing visitors.
- Supports other program administrative and operational activities when required.
- Enters information into computer documents following established instructions.
- Performs other duties as assigned by supervisors.
- Performs related duties for which the incumbent is qualified as necessary
May be required to obtain and maintain current CPR and First Aid Certification by nationally recognized organization (e.g., American Heart Association)
Must possess and maintain valid driver’s license in the state of employment and have a driving record that meets the standards of the AMIkids Transportation Policy, may be required to obtain and maintain a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with passenger and school bus endorsement.
Minimum Education, Training and Experience
HS Diploma / Equivalency
Minimum 1 year clerical / customer experience
Must be a self-starter and highly motivated
Must satisfy criminal background check and drug screening as defined by state requirements.
Must satisfy physical abilities and medical testing as defined by federal regulations.
May be required to obtain and maintain appropriate crisis intervention and physical restraint training and certification as defined by state requirements, e.g., Protective Action Response (PAR), Nonviolent Crisis Intervention (NCI), or Safe Crisis Management (SCM).
