Join our dynamic team at our Pittsburgh corporate location, where you will oversee procurement activities vital to our operational success. You will be responsible for selecting sources and executing precise procurement for indirect materials, supplies, fixed assets, tooling, and specific production materials. Your efforts will ensure cost-effective operations across our manufacturing facilities.

**Key Requirements: **

• High School Diploma or GED is mandatory; an Associate or Bachelor's Degree in a related business field is desired. A CPP Certification is advantageous.
• A minimum of 2 to 5 years of purchasing experience is required, or an equivalent combination of experience and education. Experience with Ross ERP Software is preferred.

**Skills Needed for Success: **

• In-depth understanding of procurement principles as well as company purchasing policies and procedures.
• Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills to maintain professional relationships with internal departments and external suppliers.
• Knowledgeable in materials such as Beam, Pipe, Tube, Plate, Smooth Bar, and General Steel.
• Competent in basic mathematics and following detailed written, oral, or diagram instructions.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) with knowledge of Ross ERP Software.
• A strong team player who is self-motivated and capable of working independently.

**Key Responsibilities: **

• Analyze and confirm the accuracy of requisitions, source price quotes from suppliers, and negotiate favorable terms.
• Convert requisitions into purchase orders for a variety of goods, ensuring timely order expediting and confirmation with vendors.
• Coordinate international shipments through logistics, if necessary.
• Address material non-conformance issues and report findings.
• Compile and manage data for significant projects and recurring orders.
• Collaborate with team members across locations to maintain optimal inventory levels.
• Troubleshoot and resolve procurement issues efficiently within the organization.
