EHS Specialist

Our valued partner is seeking a dedicated professional to manage safety and environmental protocols, safeguarding both employees and the broader community. You will champion a culture focused on safety through behavioral approaches, proactively identifying potential hazards and crafting comprehensive programs to ensure full regulatory compliance. This role reports directly to the Director of Environmental, Health, and Safety.

Working with a renowned manufacturer of food service equipment, you’ll be part of a division with over six decades of sustained growth. As a critical entity within a $500 million enterprise, this division has 125 team members and is still expanding, recently receiving a $3.5 million investment in operations.

Key Responsibilities:
– Develop and enforce EHS standards ensuring conformance with all levels of legislation
– Lead safety initiatives, meetings, and training programs to empower employees
– Conduct thorough facility inspections to spot hazards and ensure preventive measures are in place
– Facilitate incident investigations, managing documentation and collaborating with various departments, including HR, for comprehensive incident management
– Network with community safety groups to promote and represent company interests

Ideal Candidate:
– Holds a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Safety or a related field, or an Associate degree with substantial experience
– Communicates effectively across all organizational levels
– Possesses sharp problem-solving skills with a focus on proactive safety solutions
– Eager to gain knowledge and receive guidance from seasoned leadership
