The Imaging/Plating Operator is responsible for operating imaging and plating equipment within the plant. The role involves managing the imaging processes for product inspection or mapping, operating plating machinery, ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of both systems, and performing routine maintenance on equipment.
Responsibilities:
· Operate imaging equipment for tasks such as visual inspections, product mapping, or quality control.
· Monitor imaging system functionality, perform troubleshooting, and address operational issues as necessary.
· Perform routine calibrations to ensure equipment accuracy and maintain optimal performance.
· Analyze imaging data to support production decisions or quality checks.
· Operate plating equipment to ensure proper positioning or materials in the designated area, ensuring accuracy and consistency in the plating process.
· Setup and load machinery with materials, or other plating items as per instructions.
· Monitor plating equipment during operation and adjust settings or perform corrective actions as needed.
· Perform regular maintenance tasks on imaging and plating machinery, including cleaning.
· Report malfunctions or equipment breakdowns promptly to the maintenance team for resolution.
· Maintain accurate logs of plant and equipment operations, image analysis results, and maintenance activities.
· Collaborate with supervisors and other operators to identify trends and areas for process improvement based on recorded data.
· Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment for oneself and others.
· Ensure compliance with environmental and regulatory standards related to equipment operation, maintenance, and plant activities.
· Communicate effectively with team members and report operational issues, system errors, or maintenance needs.
· Assist with training new operators on equipment procedures and safety standards.
Qualifications:
· A recognized technical certificate or equivalent experience in a related technical field is required.
· Practical experience in operating imaging and plating equipment, ideally in a production setting.
· Familiarity with machine calibration, troubleshooting, and routine maintenance.
· Basic understanding of data management and reporting systems.
· Strong attention to detail, precision, and focus on operational efficiency.
· Ability to follow standard operating procedures and safety protocols.
· Good communication and teamwork skills.
· Ability to stand, walk, and move for extended periods.
· Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
· Comfortable working in a plant environment with exposure to machinery noise and varying environmental conditions.
