Responsibilities
- Monitor and manage inventory levels to ensure that materials are available for production needs.
- Place purchase orders with suppliers and negotiate favorable terms to achieve cost efficiency.
- Oversee the receiving process, including inspecting delivered goods for quality and accuracy.
- Update inventory management systems and maintain accurate records of orders and receipts.
- Collaborate with production and warehouse teams to assess material requirements and reorder points.
- Resolve discrepancies related to inventory quantities, quality issues, and supplier performance.
- Maintain a clean and organized storage area to facilitate efficient inventory management.
- High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in supply chain management or related field is a plus.
- Proven experience as an Inventory, Purchasing, or Receiving Agent in a manufacturing or distribution environment.
- Strong organizational and time management skills to handle inventory tasks efficiently.
- Proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills to liaise with suppliers and internal teams.
- Attention to detail with a focus on maintaining accurate inventory records.
- Ability to lift and move heavy items, as necessary, and stand for extended periods.
