About this Role:
This is a unique opportunity to join Amity Foundation's team as a Registered/Certified Substance Abuse Counselor I, providing face-to-face rehabilitative programming services in our Integrated Substance Use Disorder Treatment Program (ISUDT).

Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver evidence-based treatment programming services to participants, incorporating various therapeutic approaches such as motivational interviewing and cognitive behavioral therapy.
- Effectively implement programmed curriculum, facilitating group and individual meetings that promote participant engagement and progress.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment/action plans, empowering participants to achieve their goals and maintain sobriety.
- Regularly review and update treatment plans, documenting participant progress and making recommendations for further support.
- Maintain accurate and confidential participant records, adhering to relevant laws and regulations.
- Communicate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, including transition/reentry staff, to ensure seamless participant support.
- Stay up-to-date with industry best practices, participating in regular training and professional development opportunities.
Requirements:
- A minimum of 6 months of experience providing SUDT services as a certified AOD Counselor.
- Current AOD Certification with an organization recognized by the DHCS or Registration with BBS or AOD Certifying body, depending on education level.
- Proven ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities and responsibilities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with diverse populations.
- Experience with electronic health records and other relevant software systems.
- Familiarity with relevant laws and regulations governing substance abuse treatment.
