Key Responsibilities:
- Provide assistance with daily living activities such as bathing, grooming, dressing, and meal preparation.
- Offer companionship and emotional support to patients, building meaningful connections.
- Assist with mobility and light housekeeping tasks to ensure a safe and clean living environment.
- Help with medication reminders and monitoring patient health.
- Maintain patient records, documenting any changes in condition and care provided.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of patients by following care plans and protocols.
- Foster a positive and respectful atmosphere in the home.
- Create activities or ideas to get the patient's mind thinking.
- Read a book to them, do a puzzle, watch their favorite shows, ask about their hobbies.
Qualifications:
- Previous caregiving experience or relevant training is preferred but not required.
- At least 1-2 years of professional experience.
- Compassionate, patient, and understanding demeanor.
- Ability to work independently and follow care plans accurately.
- Reliable transportation and flexibility to travel within the Dallas Metroplex.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing needs.
- Ability to pass a background check and meet other state licensing requirements.
