What are the responsibilities and job description for the Physical Therapy Aide/Medical Assistant position at Amity Physical Therapy?
Amity Physical Therapy is immediately seeking energetic and motivated individuals to join our team as a Physical Therapy Aide. The position would involve assisting Physical Therapists and Physical Therapist Assistants with the ongoing care of our patients in a fun work environment. Amity Physical Therapy is a private outpatient clinic and is an excellent place to improve your skills and work with patients.
Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Assisting patients from waiting room to treatment areas, cleaning/upkeep of facility and treatment tables and equipment, demonstrating and assisting patients with exercises at the direction of the therapist, mild clerical work such as pulling charts, direct patient interaction (great for staff who are in school for physical therapy, physicians assistant, APRN, Exercise Physiology, or occupational therapy.
Full-time and per diem opportunities exist. Strong anatomy & physiology background recommended. Typical candidates are current PT/PTA/exercise physiology/athletic training/PA/APRN students and/or graduates.
