CDL Class A Truck Driver

Position Duties

The responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to:

• Physically moving materials on and off trucks, trailers, and the shop floor.
• Handling materials either manually or with the use of forklifts and/or overhead cranes.
• Coordinating daily activities with the shipping and receiving departments.
• Overseeing the maintenance of flatbed trucks, boom trucks, and other equipment.
• Transporting freight items and delivering them to various locations, including hauling oversized loads.
• Ensuring loads are securely tied down for stability, as well as assisting in planning routes and delivery schedules.
• Assisting with loading or unloading cargo as necessary.
• Completing Driver's Log, Safety Reports, and other required documentation in a timely manner.
  
  

Ideal Candidate Qualifications

Successful candidates will possess the following:

• A valid CDL Class A license.
• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Proficient in reading, writing, and speaking the English language.
• Previous driving experience with deliveries to construction job sites is preferred.
• Familiarity with stairs, rails, and structural steel is a plus.
• Ability to thrive under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Sound judgment regarding safety procedures and regulations.
• A clean driving record.
  
  

Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial truck driving is preferred.
• Willingness to work overtime and Saturdays as required.
• The selected applicant will undergo a pre-employment physical, drug/alcohol testing, and DOT DMV verifications.
