- Ability to be in the office 2-3 times a week (Reston, VA)
The Gist...
We’re looking for an enthusiastic Finance Intern to join our dynamic team this summer. This is a hands-on learning opportunity to gain real-world experience in government contracting finance while contributing to projects that serve the public good.
What Your Day May Include...
- Assisting with the preparation and analysis of financial reports, budgets, and forecasts
- Supporting monthly close and reconciliation processes
- Reviewing and organizing vendor invoices and payment records
- Conducting research to support compliance with federal financial regulations
- Helping track and manage internal budgets and expenses
- Utilizing financial systems to support data entry, validation, and reporting tasks
- Participating in team meetings, sharing progress updates, and receiving mentorship
- Engaging with various departments to learn how finance intersects with business functions
- Contributing to process improvement initiatives or special projects as needed
Requirements
You'll Bring These Qualifications
- U.S. Citizenship Required to obtain a Public Trust clearance
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field
- Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking skills
- Solid communication and organizational abilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with financial software is a plus
- Willingness to learn and contribute in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment
- Located in the Washington, DC metro area with the ability to commute to our Reston, VA HQ
