Our DevOps Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless delivery of software solutions by optimizing and automating infrastructure and deployment processes. WHAT YOUR DAY MIGHT INCLUDE…
- Designing, implementing, and managing scalable, secure, and efficient AWS cloud infrastructure to support various applications and services.
- Building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines to automate software delivery, enabling seamless integration and deployment across development, staging, and production environments.
- Collaborating with development, QA, and operations teams to ensure smooth and efficient software releases.
- Monitoring system performance, troubleshooting issues, and optimizing AWS services to enhance reliability and cost-effectiveness.
- Implementing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible to ensure consistent and repeatable deployments.
- Automating routine operational tasks and improving system efficiency using scripting languages like Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
- Ensuring compliance with security best practices and conducting regular audits of AWS environments.
- Setting up and managing containerized applications using Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes or AWS ECS/EKS.
- Documenting processes, configurations, and system designs to support knowledge sharing and operational continuity.
Requirements
YOU’LL BRING THESE QUALIFICATIONS…
- US Citizenship Required to obtain Public Trust
- DHS USCIS Public Trust preferred
- 7 years of relevant experience
- Ability to travel to DC a min of 1x per week if needed
- Deep understanding of AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, VPC, CloudFront, and IAM.
- Expertise in CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI, or AWS CodePipeline.
- Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, or Ansible.
- Hands-on experience with containerization technologies including Docker, Kubernetes, or AWS ECS/EKS.
- Strong knowledge of monitoring and logging tools such as CloudWatch, ELK Stack, Prometheus, or Grafana.
- Experience with configuration management tools like Chef, Puppet, or SaltStack.
- Familiarity with Agile, Scrum, or DevSecOps methodologies.
- Strong scripting skills in Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
- Solid understanding of networking concepts, including DNS, load balancing, and VPNs.
- Passion for optimizing cloud infrastructure for performance, scalability, and cost-efficiency.
