What are the responsibilities and job description for the Patient Account Representative, Business Office, Full Time Days position at AMMC Inc?
The Patient Accounts Rep. is responsible for reviewing and processing insurance claims timely and accurately in order to insure productivity and effective cash flow. The Patient Accounts Rep. processes all claim edits and deletions to insure timely processing of accounts, low number of accounts outstanding and smooth transition of accounts through the collection process. The Patient Accounts Rep. effectively interacts with patients, significant others, and other healthcare members while maintaining standards of professionalism.
Requirements :
High school diploma or equivalent required. At least one year of computer experience and excellent people skills and previous experience with medical billing, third party, and agency (Medicare / Medicaid) patient follow-up preferred. Background in healthcare environment preferred.
