What are the responsibilities and job description for the Operator I - 3pm-11pm, $18.84 an hour, $1.00 differential position at AMMEGA?
Our Chemprene location with the AMMEGA Specialty team, we are currently looking for a/an Operator I.
As an Operator I, you will be responsible for proficiency in one or two of the following machines: Rotocure, Presses, Laminator, Slitters, Wrapper, Unwrapper, and Warm Up Mill. You will report to the Production Supervisor and be part of the Production Team. This role is based in Beacon, New York.
A day in the life of an Operator I can look like:
- Tests all safety devices/emergency stop buttons at the start of each shift
- Conducts safety audit of area at the start of each shift
- Completes Hoist Safety Checklist at the start of each shift
- Notifies Supervisor of any safety hazard found during shift
- Reviews production schedule and verifies expectations for the shift
- Reads process route sheet (PRS) to determine specifics of job scheduled
- Gathers appropriate material for job (poly, shells, etc)
- Operates machine according to Standard Operating Procedures

- High School Diploma or equivalent (GED)
- High School Level Math Skills
- Ability to work in a team environment

- Prior forklift experience and current forklift certification
