In this role, you’ll perform in-process final inspections using precision measuring tools, interpret part prints, and monitor production data through SPC systems. You’ll be responsible for maintaining a clean, safe work environment while ensuring every part meets customer specifications. Available Schedules (subject to availability):
- 1st Shift: Monday–Thursday, 5:00 AM–3:00 PM
- 2nd Shift: Monday–Thursday, 3:00 PM–1:00 AM
- Weekend Day Shift: Friday–Sunday, 5:00 AM–5:00 PM
- Weekend Night Shift: Friday–Sunday, 5:00 PM–5:00 AM
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Perform in process final inspections per job instructions.
- Uses precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, plug gauges, bore micrometers, dial indicator height gauge) to ensure that parts meet customer specifications.
- Read and interpret part prints and understand the correlation between the print and critical dimensions upon which SPC (Statistical Process Control) charts are based.
- Understanding of the use of SPC computer system and the basic principles of our SPC customer requirements.
- Records production, material and quality information on designated AMMO operating systems and in accordance with AMMO operating procedures. Includes and understanding of the purpose and necessity for accurate record keeping.
- Responsible for maintaining cleanliness and neatness of surrounding area in order to avoid creating an injury hazard for self or others.
- Cleaning scrap from inside and outside of machines upon order completion. Whenever visible signs of debris, oil, coolant or any slippery conditions or substances are present area must be mopped clean and a proactive attempt made to discover and eliminate the source of any leaks.
- Required to attend and participate in team meetings.
- Participates/contributes to AMMO’s continual improvement process.
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor for additional experience and/or training or refinement skills in preparation for advancement.
- Occupation includes a requirement to follow EHS procedures.

Minimum Education:
- High School diploma

- Strong communication, interpersonal and teamwork skills.
- Skilled in performing detailed work with a high degree of accuracy.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with vendors, customers, co-workers, and management.
- Ability to influence change & lead those who oppose change.
