As a Quality Manager you will:
- The Quality Manager will oversee the activity of the quality assurance department and staff, developing, implementing, and maintaining a system of quality and reliability testing for the organization’s products and/or development processes.
- Develops and establishes quality systems and procedures, inspection plans, quality performance trends, statistical plans, cost estimates and technical quality plans for proposals.
- Communicates quality standards and parameters to Quality team, product development team, and other appropriate staff.
- Maintains compliance with federal, state, local, and organizational laws, regulations, guidelines, and policies.
- Handle returns and customer service corrective actions
- Train, evaluate, provide feedback, and oversee all aspect of training within the quality team.
- Prepares reports by collecting, interpreting, analyzing, and summarizing data and making recommendations. Analyzes proposed changes in methods and materials. Compiles and writes training material and conducts training sessions on quality control activities.
- Identifies quality performance, trends, and corrective action by coordinating with customers and suppliers.
- Ability to lead and motivate people in a team environment, balance the demands of several work areas and to coordinate closely related work of a variety of employees.
- Devises and implements various methods and procedures for inspecting, testing, and evaluating the precision, reliability and accuracy of products, processes, and production equipment.
Required qualifications for a Quality Manager:
- Bachelor’s Degree and Certification as a Quality Engineer, manufacturing or industrial engineering or equivalent experience.
- 3-5 years minimum experience in a Quality Management role
- A solid understanding of SolidWorks, Auto CAD, and Microsoft Office
- Understanding of ISO 9001 required and Plex ERP System a plus for a Quality Manager
- Understanding of the firearms industry is a plus but not required
- Quality Manager’s demonstrate safe work practices, work with limited supervision, and communicate with coworkers, manager, and other department
