Hourly/Nonexempt – Production Support

Job Summary

Responsible for keeping the facility in clean and orderly condition while performing heavy cleaning duties to include cleaning floors, washing walls and glass, sweeping and moping.

REPORTING RELATIONSHIP

Reports To: Maintenance Manager

Supervises: N/A

Essential Job Functions

• Sweep and mop break area, hallways, entryways and office areas.
• Clean and sanitize restrooms and large bath sink areas.
• Restock supplies in restrooms, break area and common areas.
• Clean windows and mirrors.
• Empty all trash and recycling bins and replace liners, clean receptacles as necessary.
• Clean windowsills and windows throughout office areas.
• Maintain janitorial equipment in a clean, safe and operable condition.
• Wearing proper Personal Protective Equipment at all times.
• Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and equipment to prevent damage to floors and fixtures.
• Notify supervisor of any major repairs.
• Must maintain exceptional housekeeping throughout the facility
• Other duties as assigned.
  
  

Qualifications

Minimum Education:

• High School diploma or Equivalent preferred
• 1-2 years’ experience as a custodian, janitor or housekeeper or a related field.
  
  

Minimum Skills And Experience

• Strong communication, interpersonal and teamwork skills.
• Skilled in performing detailed work with a high degree of accuracy.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers, managers and other departments.
• Must be able to influence change & lead those who oppose change.
• Basic computer knowledge is beneficial.
  
  

Working Conditions: Work is carried out in a controlled, agreeable production environment.

Safety Requirements: Must follow all safety rules and exhibit safe work practices. Must wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

Activity: 100% walking/standing/bending

Mental and Aptitude Requirements: Job requires strong time management and prioritizing skills.
