The Role
Ammper Power is seeking an experienced Asset Manager to join our Houston office. In this critical role, you will spearhead the setup, implementation, and supervision of our Energy Management Services processes. You will act as the primary point of contact for utility-scale resource owners, offering expert market guidance and ensuring their assets operate at peak performance. Working closely with cross-functional teams and third-party vendors, you will play a key role in delivering best-in-class service to our clients.
Responsibilities and duties:
- Creation and implementation of our Energy Management Services processes in collaboration with our Market Operations Desk and our NOC.
- Act as the primary point of contact with owners of utility scale resources providing insights on market trends, strategies, and opportunities.
- Provide guidance to owners of utility scale resources on regulatory and compliance requirements.
- Act as the subject matter expert in negotiations with owners of utility scale assets.
- Collaborate with internal teams, and third party vendors on areas such as PPAs, settlements, and software development.
Qualifications and skills:
- 5 years of wholesale power experience in ERCOT.
- Previous experience with managing thermal generation assets is desirable, but not required.
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
- Creative thinker, willing to stretch beyond experience.
- Analytical and detail oriented.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Product Suite.
- Previous experience in a startup is desirable, not required.
