The Position
- The Foundation Director will provide visionary leadership to oversee and execute all aspects of the Samaritan Healthcare Foundation, including fundraising, donor engagement, foundation board and committee relations, and community outreach initiatives.
- This position will report to the Chief Development, Communications Officer and oversee 1.5 FTEs.
- This leader will focus on advancing the programs and services offered by Samaritan through strategic community outreach and involvement, engaging with the board and local stakeholders to foster support, and spearheading fundraising efforts that inspire support for exceptional healthcare in the region.
- Ideal candidates will possess extensive governance experience, showcasing exceptional organizational skills, outstanding communication abilities, and a talent for building strong relationships. They should demonstrate strategic and forward-thinking capabilities while being receptive to direction. Prior experience in business operations, public relations, and marketing is essential.
- This role presents significant executive-level growth potential, with the organization rapidly expanding and building a new hospital to support its continued development.
- This position requires an on-site, in-office leader, as remote work is not an option.
- A Bachelor’s degree is required; a Master’s degree is preferred.
- A minimum of five years of experience in fundraising, including at least three years specializing in foundation or donor relationship management, is required.
- Prior experience working in non-profit healthcare and/or higher-level education is strongly preferred.
- The base salary range for this position is $112,000 to $125,000 annually. In addition, a leader may be eligible for other benefits, including but not limited to health insurance coverage, retirement benefits, and bonuses. The total compensation for the finalist selected for this role will be determined based on various factors, including but not limited to scope of role, level of experience, education, accomplishments, internal equity, budget, and subject to Fair Market Value evaluation. The base salary range listed above is a good faith determination of potential base compensation at the time of this job advertisement and may be modified in the future.

- Fishing, waterskiing, canoeing, and kayaking are some of the activities available without leaving the city limits. Moses Lake also has a large community Aquatic Center. Other recreational activities in the area include biking, ice-skating, hunting, and snow skiing.
- Moderate four-season climate weather pattern with average minimum December temperatures of 23 degrees and average summer maximum of 87 degrees and 300 plus days of sunshine makes for comfortable living.
