The Position
- An Interim Director, Mother & Baby Unit, is needed to oversee maternity and pediatric services for a hospital in Washington.
- Reporting to the Chief Nursing Officer, this leader will oversee approximately 105 FTEs.
- Key responsibilities include evaluating staffing needs and optimizing scheduling to ensure quality patient care, assessing budget allocation and refining financial strategies for unit efficiency, and partnering with leadership to enhance operational workflows and the patient experience.
- The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in women’s services, with strong leadership skills in budgeting, staffing, and operational problem-solving. They must be highly organized, patient-focused, and able to adapt quickly to changing needs. Excellent communication skills will be critical.
- Must be available to start within two to three weeks of acceptance.
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing required; master’s degree preferred.
- Active Washington RN license or compact RN license.
- Minimum of five years of leadership experience in women’s services, including labor & delivery and postpartum care.

- Compensation Range: $150,000 to $160,000 annually.
- The final compensation rate will be determined based on experience, education, training, location, internal equity, and budget considerations, in accordance with Fair Market Value evaluation. Additionally, some candidates may be eligible for a comprehensive benefits package, depending on the specific role, including but not limited to health insurance coverage and retirement benefits.
