Interim Director of Surgical Services Needed in West Virginia Healthcare System

The Position

• An Interim Director of Surgical Services is needed to oversee operations within a small surgical unit comprising four operating rooms.
• This role reports directly to the Chief Nursing Officer.
• The leader will focus on refining policies and procedures, preparing for a Joint Commission survey, conducting a SWOT analysis of current operations, and optimizing costs while improving patient quality and safety.
• A strong, hands-on leader with experience in small and rural facilities is preferred. The candidate must be visible, approachable, and skilled at building relationships with staff and physicians.
• Availability to start within 2-3 weeks of acceptance is required.
  
  
  

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Active RN license required.
• Recent hands-on experience in surgical services operations is essential.

Compensation Details

• Compensation Range: $160,000 to $170,000 annually.
• The final compensation rate will be determined based on experience, education, training, location, internal equity, and budget considerations, in accordance with Fair Market Value evaluation. Additionally, some candidates may be eligible for a comprehensive benefits package, depending on the specific role, including but not limited to health insurance coverage and retirement benefits.
• The listed base compensation range represents a good faith estimate of potential earnings at the time of this job posting and may be subject to future adjustments.
