What are the responsibilities and job description for the Case Management Nurse (Case Manager RN) position at AMN Healthcare?
CM’s create and implement long-term care plans for patients. The Case Manager RN’s goal is to coordinate patient care and treat their patients at optimal times to keep them healthy and out of the hospital. They assist both individuals and families in coping with complex physical or mental health conditions. Some CM’s have utilization review experience, meaning they review individual medical cases to confirm that they are getting the most appropriate care. CM’s work in a variety of fields with different specializations. Case Managers typically work in a hospital, or other general medical care facility.
Education/Requirements:

Education/Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN): 4-Year Education
- Associates Degree in Nursing (ADN): 2-Year Education
- You must earn an ADN or BSN degree and pass the NCLEX to apply for a license as a RN.
- RN‘s can only work with an active state license.
