POSITION SUMMARY – Intake/Assessment Specialist
POSITION DUTIES –
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS – Experience in a psychiatric healthcare facility working with adult and geriatric patients preferred.
LENGTH OF ASSIGNMENT – 13 weeks
SHIFT / HOURS PER WEEK – Mixed: Weekend Days would be Sat & Sun 7a-7:30pm and Weekend Nights would be Fri, Sat & Sun 7:00pm-7:30am.

Intake/Assessment Specialist
StartDate: 2/17/2025 Pay Rate: $1800.00 - $2600.00
POSITION SUMMARY – Intake/Assessment Specialist
POSITION DUTIES –
- Receives inquiry calls and assists the caller with scheduling a face-to-face, phone, or tele-assessment.
- Triages individuals based on safety risk.
- Assesses or ensures assessment by a qualified mental health professional of patients who present for assessment.
- Screens for medical and behavioral emergency conditions.
- Performs a comprehensive assessment and quality therapeutic care to patients seeking treatment for substance abuse, dual diagnosis, or psychiatric or emotional disorders.
- Coordinates with the clinical team/on-call physician to ensure these needs are met at the facility or other appropriate community providers.
- Interprets treatment to patient and family to help reduce fear and other attitudes obstructing acceptance of care and continuation of treatment.
- Completes the administrative processes of admission and precertification of care with external payers, as necessary.
- With proper credentials, Specialist may be required to complete vitals check on patients.
